Programs

Every season we run one or more of our therapeutic group programs.

1.OUTSIDE

The OUTSIDE program is an 8-week group therapy initiative specifically designed for youth who feel marginalized or disconnected from their social communities and life paths. This program aims to create a supportive environment where participants can explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of belonging and purpose through being and activities in the outdoors. The intervention program mixed Nature-based Psychotherapy, Shinrin Yoku, Cool Kids and Mindfulness techniques.

The aim of OUTSIDE is to :

  • Enhance Emotional Well-being: Help participants understand and manage their emotions better.
  • Foster Social Connections: Create a sense of community and belonging among peer-participants.
  • Promote Personal Growth: Encourage self-discovery and the development of personal strengths.
  • Support Mental Health Transitions: Provide tools and strategies for improving mental health and navigating life transitions.

All this is done through an outdoor recreational therapeutic group intervention. Further we offer the possibility of individual therapy sessions on the side if needed during the program. We keep group sizes small, go though the intervention as a group with out admitting new participant into existing groups, and meet once a week for a 3 hour group session in the forest, beach or if needed, clinic in North Zealand.

2.GRIEF

GRIEF is our 12 week intervention group program created for you who are going through a period experiencing grief, feeling that you need professional support combined with the understanding of fellow human-beings in the same life situation. The cause for your grief is not important to the program participation, and you are most welcome no matter your stage of grieving. The GRIEF program is deeply therapeutically grounded, and uses methods from the Nature-based Jungian Psychotherapy, Nature Connectedness Research for Eudaimonic Health and Well- being Promotion.

The aim of GRIEF is to :

  • Guide and Facilitate a deeper connection to the natural world
  • Offer support and techniques for opening your heart and allowing your emotions time and space
  • Open your mind to nature as a spaceholder for letting go of thoughts and emotions that no longer serve you, and carefully harnessing the ones that do, but need perspective
  • Be a safe community of like minded people sharing a momentarily similar life path for you to lean into for both tears, talks, and thankfulness

We usually group clients for the GRIEF program based on two criteria; the age of the grieving clients, and the amount of time between the incident causing the clients grief and the program participation. Many GRIEF participants are also our individual clients either during or after the GRIEF program. You are always welcome for an informal talk and a session on what may be the best route for you. We value flexibility deeply, and are known for our ability to comply with your changing needs during your grieving process.

3.IMMERSE

Our IMMERSE program offers you the possibility to explore your intrinsic need for nature through facilitated exploration and bonding with the forests surrounding you.

All 6 weeks of the IMMERS program are specifically designed after our evidence based NEED FOR NATURE FRAMEWORK ™ in order to relieve individuals’ experiences of heightened levels of stress in their private or professional lives. Combining Psychotheraputic methods, Nature Connectedness Experience design, Mindfulness and Shinrin Yoku techniques IMMERSE provides you a deep, yet everyday-like, healing and well-being experience.

The aim of IMMERSE is to :

  • Create a bond between you and your proximate nature areas for you to continuously seek nature for healing
  • Balance professional work and private life both nervous system and calendar
  • Provide perspective by offering peace and quiet in a fast paced life
  • Opening your sensory receptors as a pathway to opening your heart and mind

In IMMERSE we offer you a theraputic effect of human-nature connectedness without actual therapy enrollment. We do not keep journals nor systematically follow up your mental health situations in the IMMERSE program. Yet, we of course offer to provide any kind of therapeutic support you may need during the program. Be it a 1:1 conversation away from the group activities, or enrollment in therapy sessions of your choice.

4.FLOW

In summer we run a 6 week Ocean Floating program for fellow human-beings seeking rest and peace in mind to sustain and balance everyday life situations.FLOW is a Nature Connecting experience beyond anything you usually experience in nature.

Combining Ocean Floating, Mindfulness and evidence-based knowledge of Nervous System Regulation, FLOW offers a possibility for you to let go of the overwhelm that everyday lives often cause us all.

The aim of FLOW is to :

  • Create a safe space and a feeling of being held by something bigger than yourself, like no other natural environment
  • Provide an experience you rarely get on your own
  • Relief stress and anxiety on both the everyday business and deeper flossed nervous system levels
  • Offer an emotional bond with the most important part of our natural world; the water element

We meet on the beach for 1½ hours once a week, and often work both group based and in pairs during the sessions. We bring wetsuits for your comfort and facilitate a range of bonding exercises for you to feel secure before entering the ocean for your buddy-floating experience.

In FLOW we offer you a theraputic effect of human-nature connectedness without actual therapy enrollment. We do not keep journals nor systematically follow up your mental health situations in the FLOW program. Yet, we of course offer to provide any kind of therapeutic support you may need during the program. Be it a 1:1 conversation away from the group activities, or enrollment in therapy sessions of your choice.
