Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing, also known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese, is a therapeutic practice that involves immersing oneself in the natural environment of the forest to promote health and well-being. At NEED FOR NATURE PSYCHOTHERAPY, we offer guided Forest Bathing experiences that allow individuals to connect deeply with nature and reap the numerous benefits it has to offer.

During a Forest Bathing session, our experienced therapists lead participants on a gentle and mindful walk through the forest. As we move slowly and deliberately through the natural environment, we encourage participants to engage all their senses—sight, sound, smell, touch, and even taste—to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Our therapists either facilitate Forest Bathing sessions in the forests of North Zealand, Denmark – or within a reasonable distance we offer to come to your local proximate forest area.

Forest Bathing is more than just a walk in the woods—it’s a mindful and intentional practice of immersing oneself in the natural world to engage all the senses and cultivate a sense of presence and connection.
